Banks Track pioneered hut-to-hut walking over private land in New Zealand and is still regarded as the finest private walking track in the country.
Walk at your own pace over Banks Peninsula’s extinct volcanic landscape, where ridges and peaks offer sweeping panoramic ocean views. Traverse coastal cliff tops, through ancient forests, waterfalls, tree ferns and descend into otherwise inaccessible bays. Enjoy an abundance of wildlife, glorious birdsong and gaze into our night skies, whilst staying in unique, charming accommodation each night. The same route, starting in the picturesque village of Akaroa, can be covered in two or three days.
